Dr Baljinder Singh Gill — Artist Baljinder — has turned a painter's career into a national movement: free art education for underprivileged children, world records on the road, and art therapy healing communities across India.
Born into a progressive farming family in Maddoke village, Moga district, Panjab, Baljinder grew up between fields and canvases. His grandfather Mukhtiar Singh Gill and father Malkit Singh Gill — respected local farmers — sowed the seeds of deep sensitivity toward nature and community that still shape every brushstroke.
The talent showed early: a state-level painting award in the fifth grade, a merit scholarship in the tenth, and the 11th rank across all of Panjab in the state General Knowledge examination — earning a continuous three-year academic scholarship.
But rather than treating art as a profession, he made it his life's mission. In 2019 he founded Indian Creative Unity to carry completely free art education to underprivileged children across India — redefining the intersection of creativity and humanitarian service.

Oxford University (UK) invited Dr Gill twice — to deliver lectures, lead seminars, and join honorary academic programs. He politely declined both. His decision was guided by an unshakeable loyalty to his motherland and a commitment to serve the marginalized children and communities of India. True creative consciousness, he believes, finds its fulfillment not in elite Western validation but in selflessly uplifting the grassroots of one's own nation.
